The biggest challenge faced by 47 % of L&D professionals is keeping learners engaged, alongside addressing diverse learning needs and preferences.

Increasing investment in L&D

More than 60 % of organisations increased their learning technology budgets in 2025, with 90 % investing between €50K and €5M per year.

Skills gap identification drives scaling strategies

60 % of companies prioritise skill gap analysis as a key strategy for scaling training programmes, alongside automated course recommendations and content creation tools. 

Growing reliance on learning platforms

Nearly 70 % of organisations now use a central LMS, a 25 % increase from 2024, with a strong trend towards adopting multiple learning platforms. 

AI is shaping the future of corporate learning

Over two-thirds of organisations expect AI and machine learning to have the biggest impact on learning in the next three years, with 25 % planning AI-based authoring investments. 

Measuring training effectiveness

Employee feedback remains the primary measure of learning success (used by almost 60 % of companies), followed by completion rates and engagement metrics. 

Mobile learning adoption remains limited

Despite the rise of digital learning, only 30 % of companies report that more than half of their learners use mobile-based learning tools over desktop methods.
