Direct Integration of Web Based Trainings to Boost Your Enterprise eLearning

New features of Innovation Pack 14.24

The highlights of IP 14.24 focus on both Web Based Trainings integration, and the Channels add-on of the imc Learning Suite and bring significant improvements to it. Channels enable the structured and topic-specific provision of content. They help companies to consolidate their resources in a central location, allowing information to be found more quickly and used more effectively.

The new functionalities focus on the management and use of channels and offer improved user-friendliness as well as stronger integration and analysis options. Central knowledge management, content management and personalisation of the learning experience can now be optimised even further.

5-star rating for channel content

  • Assess the relevance and quality of content more easily
  • Optimise content in a targeted manner
  • Higher engagement in the channels

Content in channels can now be given a 5-star rating. These ratings are visible to learners and content creators. The feature makes it easier to assess the relevance and quality of content within a channel.

This can help content creators to optimise existing content in a targeted manner and better adapt it to the needs of learners. The rating function also encourages greater engagement within the channels, as users can actively rate the quality of the content.

The rating only applies to media within a channel, not to channels themselves or to general media on the platform.

Support for articles in the media upload feature

  • Provide additional information quickly and easily
  • Simple handling without additional layout tools

Users who add content to the channels now have the option of adding short articles. These are suitable for answering frequently asked questions or pointing out common errors, for example.

The articles (formerly ‘activities’) can be created directly via the media upload function in channels. They can be created as HTML-based content and enhanced with preview images. It is not necessary to use external layout tools and create a PDF, for example. This makes it easy to use and enables additional information to be provided quickly.

Direct integration of WBTs from imc Express into channels

  • Make new learning content available quickly
  • Optimised content workflow

When content creators create WBTs (Web Based Trainings) using imc Express, they can now upload their content directly into a channel, selecting specific sections if required.

The improved integration between imc Express and the imc Learning Suite reduces manual steps and optimises the content workflow. This not only saves time, but also ensures that learning content is available to target groups more quickly. This functionality offers a decisive advantage, particularly for companies with frequently changing training content, as new learning materials can be provided directly without media disruptions.

Channel association of content visible in ‘My feed’

  • Better overview
  • Recognise relevant content quickly
  • Targeted use of channels

Each piece of content in the ‘My Feed’ area now shows the associated channel. If content is available in multiple channels, it will be displayed multiple times.

This gives users a better thematic understanding of content and makes it easier to categorise it in the respective context. This allows them to quickly identify relevant content and efficiently access the information they need. This transparency also promotes more targeted use of channels, as users can more easily recognise the topics that are most relevant to them.

User activity reports for channel content

  • Analyse usage and engagement
  • Recognise popular and less popular channels
  • Strategically optimise content

Organisations can now create detailed reports on user activity within channels to gain insights into engagement and usage.

This enables an analysis of the active use of channels, the identification of high-performing and less-used channels and the evaluation of changes in engagement after content adjustments – an important basis for strategic decisions on content optimisation.
