Innovation Pack 14.28 delivers enhanced LMS dashboards, interactive learning experiences, and more…

Redesigned media pages, moderated channels, and expanded platform APIs

Saarbrücken, July 2026

With Innovation Pack 14.29, we're introducing twenty-nine improvements to the enterprise learning management system (LMS), with the largest of them focused on the parts of the platform learners use every day. Every media page has been redesigned, along with the panels for future recertification, tasks, effectiveness check, job profile and booking requests.

Alongside that work, channel comments gain a moderation layer with optional AI support, the global search handles multiple languages more consistently, and the APIs behind headless integrations expand considerably.

Media pages redesigned for a clearer learner experience

Every media page in the imc Learning Suite has been redesigned, covering roughly thirty content types from multimedia files and SCORM packages through to LTI tools, virtual classroom sessions and on-the-job training. The changes apply wherever a learner opens a media page, whether through a course, a catalogue or the bookshelf.

A new playlist component gives a clearer overview of what a course contains, progress tracking is easier to follow, and navigation within a course is more direct. The implementation moves to React, which strengthens security alongside the visual change.

Nothing switches automatically. Administrators enable the new pages through a checkbox in the Design function, so the experience can be tested on one design before the live design changes.

Moderation and multilingual search in Channels and Global Search

ReviewGuard introduces a Manage reviews area in the Channel Manager where administrators can hide inadmissible comments, with a column flagging new reviews awaiting a decision. An optional AI layer flags potential etiquette violations for a human to check, and it runs on an Ollama instance deployed by Scheer IMC rather than a third-party service.

The Global Search now shows content in the learner's preferred language and falls back to the content's default where no translation exists, while filters and metadata follow the session language. Results available in several places carry a Multiple sources toggle, and searches returning nothing now suggest what to try instead based on whether the search was lexical or semantic.

Expanded APIs for headless integrations

Organisations that drive learning processes from external systems gain a significantly larger API surface. New calls create the objects inside learning paths and templates on import, covering access rights, classifications, course assignment, equivalencies, automatic enrolments, prerequisites, completion rules and recertification content. Further APIs handle learning path enrolments with certification properties and status, and a new endpoint manages classifications on course templates.

Health endpoints are now available for the Search app, Indexing service and Subscription service. The OpenID Connect integration supports domain_hint, routing users from external deep links straight to the correct identity provider.

Broader platform enhancements

Alongside the changes above, Innovation Pack 14.29 introduces a range of improvements across administration, reporting and platform performance:

  • Real-time seat occupancy in the Courses and Learning paths managers, with Excel export and tracked overbooking
  • A new Cancelled courses report showing who cancelled, why, and how many participants were affected
  • Cancellation change notes as an optional column in Course Progress reports
  • Time zone display for completed courses, showing local and UTC times
  • Personal end date alongside training end date in certification history and PDF export
  • Self-service cancellation of reserved bookings for learners and supervisors
  • A Job Profile Overview report scoped to a supervisor's direct reports
  • Publication and update dates on channel content cards
  • Bulk translation status updates across many languages at once
  • French (Belgian) and Chinese (Hong Kong) added as platform and content languages
  • Clickable preview images embedded inline in notifications and enrolment messages
  • Keyboard arrow navigation between tabs, with announced tab states for screen readers
  • Read replica database routing and improved indexing for the Global Search
  • Shopify Admin API updated with OAuth authentication and automatic token handling
